ESSEX JUNCTION, VERMONT – Anime Defense President Colin Harvie announced today that Gabriel Clarke, who joined AD in 2011, has been named Chief of Staff for the organization’s ANIMAINE 2013 event. Clarke will replace outgoing Chief of Staff Chris Perry, who will now serve as Operations Director for the entire Anime Defense organization.
Clarke was notified of his nomination on September 2 during this year’s ANIMAINE. He was selected from a pool of four, all of whom joined Anime Defense in 2011. He had previously served in Guest Resources and was a member of the Anime Defense Street Team representing Northern Massachusetts. He now resides in Maine.
Anime Defense was founded in 2010 by Colin Harvie, Chris Perry, and Arthur Babinsky to combat piracy and strengthen the anime community in North America.
ESSEX JUNCTION – Anime Defense has begun shutting down forums connected with the KeepAnimeAlive.com and ANIMAINE projects. Instead, AD will focus on expanding our Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter communities.
KeepAnimeAlive.com is scheduled to shut down at the end of December and be replaced by the revamped BootlegFree.org.
